Being a mom with ADHD can make everyday life feel like a lot. Kids, work, appointments, chores, schedules, household organization, and everything in between can quickly become overwhelming. In this episode of The Sparkle Project, Emily shares 5 things that have actually made her life easier as a mom with ADHD. Diagnosed with ADHD in her late 20s, Emily has spent the last few years learning something important: the goal isn’t necessarily to force herself to function like everyone else. It’s to figure out what works for her brain. That includes finding ADHD-friendly systems, making household organization more visible, creating the right mix of structure and flexibility, talking through ideas when executive functioning gets in the way, and finding ways to make everyday tasks more enjoyable. She also shares the mindset shift that ties everything together: moving away from “What’s wrong with me?” and toward “How can I make this work for me?” In this episode: • ADHD-friendly planning and organization • Why visible systems help Emily manage her home • Finding the “right amount of busy” • Structure vs. flexibility with ADHD • Talking things through when you feel stuck • Making boring or difficult tasks more enjoyable • Building habits that actually stick • ADHD, executive functioning, and motherhood • Self-acceptance and self-compassion after an ADHD diagnosis If you’re an ADHD mom, were diagnosed with ADHD later in life, or constantly wonder why the systems that seem to work for everyone else don’t work for you, this episode is for you.
