♫ Karaoke, HQ Instrumentals & Lyrics - (Original Song Movie) Please help us keep this content free and lovingly created—subscribe! This song is based on a true story. I used to work for a company headquartered in Tucson, and I went there for some training. I shared the class with coworkers from our other branches around the world. One night, we all went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Since we were from different countries but spoke the same universal language, the topic of conversation was each of us talking about the advantages of living in our own country. But whenever someone said something good about their country, someone else would immediately point out the downside. Before long, our dinner table had turned into an international summit. 😂 This song tells the story of that funny little episode in my life. The debate lasted a little over an hour, and in the end, we reached a truly universal conclusion: Paradise doesn’t exist. And if it does, nobody at our table knew where it was! 😂 Videos by Bighouse, Rodrigo Tavares, Henrique Carmo, Darlene Alderson, Robert Howard, Ollie, Sim Sam, Leyvaine Davids, David Pickup, Chandan Kumar, Sahil Singh Raahee, Anil Prasad Shrestha, Yan Krukau, Martyn Day, Darlene Alderson, Aghyad Najjar, Yar Northern, Yaroslav Shuraev, Stephen Leonardi, Ali Alcântara, Gu Ko, Magda Ehlers, Outback Brasil, Gustavo Fring, Jep Gambardella 🎵Bighouse Blues Band - Australian Bloomin' Onion Blues🧅🧅🧅🧅 [Intro-spoken] We were sitting at an Outback, A bunch of countries at the table, Everybody bragging loud About what their homeland was able. [Intro-sung] Then somebody raised a glass and said: “Tell us what your country’s got!” But every time a good thing came up, Someone yelled, “Yeah… but what?” [Verse 1 – Brazil] Brazil’s got sunshine, beaches, Beautiful places everywhere, And public hospitals for free — Well… free if you pay your share. “But taxes are high,” somebody said, “And politics can shake the ground.” I said, “Yeah, that’s Brazil for you — You never know what’s coming around!” [Verse 2 – USA] America’s got a strong economy, Cheap technology and good pay, But break your arm in Texas, And your bank account breaks the same day. And every state’s got different rules, From California to Maine. You cross one border with your car And have to learn the rules again! [Verse 3 – Canada] Canada’s nice and civilized, With healthcare from the state, And houses cheaper than America — At least they used to be that way. “But if you like a frozen winter, Canada’s the place to go!” We all laughed and raised our glasses: “Pass the maple syrup, bro!” [Verse 4 – New Zealand / Australia] New Zealand’s growing, jobs are good, Beautiful and clean and green. Australia’s got the beaches, too, And one of the best lifestyles seen. “But houses cost a fortune, And both are miles from everywhere!” Someone shouted from the table: “Still better than a polar bear!” [Verse 5 – India] India’s got ancient wisdom, Science, culture, colors bright. But poverty and crowded cities Can make the future hard to fight. Religion, class and housing problems, Too many people, too little space. My Indian friends just shook their heads — They didn’t want to join the race. [Verse 6 – Britain / Germany] Britain’s got its universities, Its music, history and pride, Free public healthcare too — But London rent will eat you alive. Germany’s got good salaries, Good manners, roads and beer. “But finding affordable housing?” “Forget it — live an hour from here!” [Verse 7 – Russia / Japan / South Africa] Russia’s got enormous land, Resources, science and art. But politics and corruption Can tear the whole thing apart. Japan is safe, clean and orderly, With bullet trains that fly. But work until you drop, old age, And earthquakes from the sky. South Africa’s got stunning views, And nature you can’t ignore. But crime and inequality Can knock right on your door. [Chorus] Everybody’s got a Bloomin’ Onion, Everybody’s got a little blues. Every country’s got some honey, Every country’s got some bad news. So raise your glass and sing along, There’s no perfect place to choose. If paradise is what you’re looking for, You’re gonna have the Bloomin’ Onion Blues! [Outro] We talked all night about our countries, And nobody could agree. Each one had a little heaven, And a little misery. So if you’re looking for perfection, Here’s the final news: There ain’t no heaven on Earth… Just the Australian Bloomin’ Onion Blues! #darkblues #karaoke #rockkaraoke #folksong #bluesmusic #countrymusic #folkblues #blues #reggae
