Venus Retrograde in Scorpio Soundbath

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio Soundbath October 3rd 2026 Every 8 years, Venus retrogrades in the same sign as she did 8 years prior, in approximately the same part of that sign. Venus enters each retrograde as an evening star. Midway through the retrograde, she gets very close to the Sun and disappears from the sky for about a week. During this time, she has a direct meet-up with the Sun, which is called a “cazimi.” When Venus, leaving behind Kedemel's, its planetary spirit's lessons, emerges from under the Sun's beams, she pivots to her new role as a morning star, leaving behind strife and bringing forth angelic harmony. On October 3rd, Venus retrogrades in Scorpio and she completes this retrograde cycle, emerging reborn, in Libra, having scaled the depths of her shadows to ultimately claim the radiant wisdom of her inner balance and harmony. In Scorpio, Venus willingly descends into the darkness, a quasi intentional astrological descent into the psyche echoed by Sumerian goddess Inanna's decent and a retrograde myth of Persephone's descent into the underworld. On her journey from an evening star to a morning star, Venus never identifies with her circumstances, but with her inherent values of Love and Harmony. This is the energetic signature and archetype she seeks to awaken in our human psyches. ‘If we are totally identified, we are no longer conscious.’ -Seymour B Ginsburg
