Actions Speak Louder Than Words | The Parable of the Two Sons | Matthew 21:28–32

God Looks at Our Actions, Not Just Our Words | Matthew 21:28–32 My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, welcome to D' VerseWhisper, where we pause, listen to God's Word, and allow His truth to speak to our hearts. In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us the Parable of the Two Sons. A father asks his two sons to work in the vineyard. One says, “I will not,” but later changes his mind and goes. The other says, “Yes, sir,” but does not go. Jesus asks: “Which of the two did his father’s will?” This Gospel reminds us that God does not look only at what we say. He also looks at how we live. Our faith becomes real when our words are followed by loving actions. Perhaps there are times when we have said, “Yes, Lord,” but failed to follow through. We promised to pray, forgive, change, serve, or love—but became distracted or discouraged. Yet this Gospel also brings us hope. The first son changed his mind and went. This reminds us that repentance is always possible. No matter how far we have wandered, we can turn back to God and begin again. Our “vineyard” may be our family, workplace, parish, community, or neighborhood. God calls us to make our faith visible through patience, forgiveness, kindness, honesty, service, and love. 🙏 In this reflection, we pray for the grace to turn back to God, live our faith through our actions, heal broken relationships, and faithfully say “yes” to God's will.
