QIDI 570 VTOL RTF RC Airplane
In this video I will do a review and flight test pf the QIDI 570 VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) RTF (ready to fly) RC (radio control) model airplane.
The QIDI 570 is unique is that the airplane includes three separate a distinct modes of flight: VTOL flight (where the model flies and hovers like a drone), normal airplane-mode level flight and a vertical mode where the airplane hovers nose up. All three of these flight modes are controlled by the onboard electronics and stabilized with gyros. This is also a great example of a tilt rotor airplane.
The QIDI 570 comes with a single 1,000 milliamp lipo flight battery. While rechargeable, the model, with three brushless motors, can lead to flight times well under 5 minutes.
One lesson learned for me is that in airplane mode with the two motors providing a lot of thrust the small model moves fast. On the left side of the transmitter it is best to use high rates to ensure full control authority.
