You hatch underground, in a sealed chamber with no way out - and the first thing you ever touch is your mother's mouth. She has guarded your egg for seventy days without eating. You are about to get what almost no insect on Earth gets: a mother who stays. How you repay her is the part most people can't finish. SHIRTS: https://zoozle-shop.fourthwall.com/ The earwig shirt is the pincers - feared by everyone, used on basically no one. For anyone whose reputation is built on something they never did. A few things worth being precise about: The name is a thousand-year-old accusation. And here's the honest version: earwigs DO occasionally end up in human ears - there are peer-reviewed case reports - but it is vanishingly rare, it isn't deliberate, and there is no burrowing into brains and no documented case of eggs laid in a human head. An ear is just one of ten thousand crevices that happens to qualify. The pincers are for defence and mating. On a human they mostly can't break skin. The wings are the hidden marvel: folded more compactly than any other wing in the animal kingdom - about ten times smaller than their open size, up to eighteen in some species. Origami researchers and robotics labs copy them. Most earwigs barely ever fly. The motherhood is real and genuinely rare for an insect: she turns and cleans every egg against mould for roughly seventy days without feeding, then feeds her young mouth to mouth. The ending belongs to the HUMP EARWIG (Anechura harmandi), a different species, as the video says: her nymphs eat her - and she does not resist. General beats in this video are the common earwig, Forficula auricularia.
