Let’s do the fashion time warp! Stacy London and Clinton Kelly revisit The Rocky Horror Picture Show—and the iconic Tim Curry looks that were decades ahead of their time.
In honor of Tim Curry’s passing, we’re celebrating the extraordinary talent, fearless glamour, and unforgettable performance he brought to Dr. Frank-N-Furter. From that legendary makeup to his commanding presence in heels, this episode is a love letter to a performer who made being different look fabulous.
Inspired by a recent trip to Broadway’s The Rocky Horror Show starring Luke Evans and Rachel Dratch, Clinton and Stacy return to the original 1975 cult classic to ask: Why does so much of this fashion look straight out of the ’80s?
They break down Frank-N-Furter’s glossy lips, dramatic eye makeup, pearls, and glitter; Columbia’s scene-stealing sequins; and the contrast between Brad and Janet’s buttoned-up style and the castle’s anything-goes glamour. Plus: leather jackets from the future, silver space suits, and a spirited debate over who wore it best.
Which Rocky Horror costume deserves the standing ovation? Tell us in the comments—and share your favorite Tim Curry moment.
