Honoka Tsujii: A Viral Cutie Online, But a Monster in the Ring! Brutal Fights!

Nine professional fights. Zero knockouts scored. Zero times knocked out. Honoka Tsujii's record looks unimpressive until you understand what's inside it. At 14 or 15 she won a national amateur title. At 17 she walked into a championship fight against a sitting titleholder and took the belt off her across the full distance. At 19 she fought her way into a RISE national championship bracket while carrying two straight losses. And at 20, after twelve full minutes with Koto Hiraoka and twelve more with Momoka, she has still never been finished by anyone. Then there's the detail almost nobody talks about. Before her most recent fight at Korakuen Hall, Tsujii told Nikkan Sports she'd been away from competition — training, and working other jobs. That single line explains the economics of women's kickboxing at 46 kilograms better than any statistic could. This is the full story of a technically sound southpaw with unusual reach for her weight class, a professional belt she stripped off a champion as a teenager, and a chin nobody in Japan has cracked.
