Abdalla's - 96th Anniversary Sale | Acadiana, Louisiana

Abdalla's celebrates its 96th anniversary with an animated diamond and portrait montage. The narration describes a tradition in Acadiana since 1895. The catalog labels this commercial 1990, but its anniversary claim points to a different year; exact production and broadcast dates remain unverified. Family interviews and historical reporting trace the regional department-store business to George Abdalla's late-19th-century merchandising in St. Landry Parish. The Lafayette Oil Center store opened in 1967.
