The Prophet ﷺ Told Us What Can Save Us on Judgment Day | Ustadh Mohamad Baajour What will actually save us on the Day of Judgment? We prepare ourselves for dangers in this dunya, taking every precaution to protect our health, wealth and future. But there is one day that is certain to come — the Day when every one of us will stand before Allah. In this powerful khutbah, Ustadh Mohamad Baajour asks a question that should concern every believer: How can I be saved on the Day of Judgment? He reminds us of some of the means of salvation taught in Islam: living sincerely by La ilaha illallah, following the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, guarding our obligatory prayers, controlling our tongues, staying away from haram, making sincere tawbah and istighfar, making duʿāʾ for protection, and preparing for the Hereafter while we still have time. The Sahabah themselves were deeply concerned about salvation. Yet how often do we become consumed with money, careers, business and the dunya while barely thinking about the day we will meet Allah? Our death could come at any age. The time to prepare isn’t tomorrow. It is now. May Allah forgive our sins, protect us from the punishment of the grave and Hellfire, grant us steadfastness upon Tawheed and Sunnah, and make us among those who are saved and admitted into Jannah.
