How does a compressed biogas plant turn organic waste into CBG?
In this video, I explain the complete process from feedstock preparation and anaerobic digestion through biogas cleaning, biomethane upgrading, compression, storage and final use.

One of the most important points is that compressed biogas is not simply raw biogas pumped into a high-pressure cylinder.
Raw biogas contains methane and a substantial proportion of carbon dioxide, together with water vapour and potentially hydrogen sulphide and other contaminants. To produce high-quality CBG, the gas normally needs to be cleaned, upgraded to methane-rich biomethane, conditioned to the required specification and then compressed.
