Listening Room x Marmalade: Thundercat ("Asha The First" by Kamasi Washington)

Both Marmalade and Listening Room are two jam series that exist in Toronto, ON. Marmalade, “a kind of jam”, brings together musicians from the jazz community and beyond to support different causes and give back charity. Listening Room is a jam series inspired by the Soulquarians process of music creation. Musicians and music lovers are invited to listen, play, and jam to the music of one artist. On June 9th, 2026, Davie Studios hosted both house bands for the one big night of jamming to the amazing music of Thundercat Listening Room style. Improvised performance inspired by "Asha The First by Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Taj Austin, Ras Austin. All rights to referenced compositions belong to their respective owners.
