Guadalupe Peak Hike

I recently had the pleasure of hiking the Peak Trail with my lifelong friend Kenny "Cookie" Cooke. We've been friends for over 55 years, though I'm not sure how much longer after this trip! It seems my frequent use of "just a little bit farther" every few miles may have tested his patience. Fortunately, we made it to the peak and back down safely. By the next day, he fully embraced the meaning of "Type 2 fun" and forgave me. We also met Jerry from the YouTube channel "meandherafterkids." He was a great guy and is now part of our trail family. Be sure to check out his channel! Forgive the heavy breathing but I was climbing a mountain! :-)
