Every Religious Reference in Over the Garden Wall

Over the Garden Wall ended up having wayyyyy more religious references than I thought. Full Over the Garden Wall Iceberg:    • The Over the Garden Wall Iceberg Explains ...   There's no dount that over the garden wall hace become a modern day folktale. Drawing inspiration from all corners of americana to create a masterfully told story about personal growth, percervierence and putting your faith in the wrong hands. And as with any folktale otgw is not a religious story strickly speaking. But, its obvious that the series draws inspiration from many religious texts and myths. I want to use this video to examine all the one I could fine and uncover not just what they are but how they meld into the story of over the garden wall. Its the type of show that the more you giv eto it the more you get out of it. And this time when watching the miniseries I wanted to hone in on any religious elements that stood out to me. Along with commments left on my previous over the garden wall videos (linked in description on screen) I was able to uncover far more evidence for its religious foundation than I ever thought was there just passively watching the show and not thinking about those types of undertones. But as with all of these analysis videos I'm bound to missing soemthing that I didn't notice or just didn't understand due to it being associated with a religion I'm not familiar with. So, if you know soemthing that I missed or just want to chime in on how a specific element related to you personally feel free to leave it in the comments. These types of videos should be a collabrative process with you guys and not just me talking as if I've found every secret there is to find. There's always more to uncover. I've chosen to organize these findings in an order that roughly matches how accurate or intentional the reference is. So the first few might be somewhat obvious to the observant but they will get more and more obscure as we decend down the list so you should learn soemthing new somewhere in there. Thank you for wathcing anf let's get started. #overthegardenwall #OTGW #OverTheGardenWallAnalysis #OverTheGardenWallLore #OverTheGardenWallTheory #ReligiousReferences #ChristianSymbolism #BiblicalReferences #Symbolism #AnimationAnalysis #CartoonAnalysis #HiddenDetails #LoreExplained #VideoEssay #OverTheGardenWallExplained
