NBBC: Genesis 21:1-34 (Is God not faithful and trustworthy to fulfill His promises?)

________________________________________________________________________ GENESIS - Trust God’s Word (Because our tendency is to trust man’s word.) ________________________________________________________________________ Series Purpose: We want people to trust God’s Word. Doubting whether God was trustworthy is what led to The Fall of Humankind. We want to help believers deepen their relationship with God by identifying and explaining the storytelling patterns of the Bible in Genesis so they can better understand what He values and how He works in order to contrast it with what they personally value and how they function. Series Goals / Objectives: Individual Application: 1) To know God more deeply by reflecting on His nature, character, actions, and values. 2) Help people trace and reflect on the storytelling patterns of the Bible in Genesis so that they can identify those same patterns in their lives. 3) To encourage them to lean on the Holy Spirit to reveal what patterns are godly and righteous and which ones are sin cycles. Congregational Application: 1) To remind the congregation of God’s bullet proof character, especially His patience and intentional design patterns. 2) To lead people toward being more curious and ask questions about God and see the value of His wisdom. 3) To remind us of the correct way to view the world, like God through Moses did to Israel (Genesis presents God's Worldview). ____________________________________ For upcoming events or information concerning our church, check out: Website: https://www.nbbcxenia.org Facebook:   / nbbcxenia   Or feel free to email us at: pastor@nbbcxenia.org #xeniaohio #newbeginningsbaptistchurchxenia #nbbcxenia #xeniaohiochurch
