From the beginning, Charlotte connected with the story and symbolism behind this tap solo, but especially with the style. She loves the theatrical, performing quality of theatre tap, and the combination of flowing, lyrical movement with intricate tap choreography feels so true to the way she loves to dance and perform. It's soft at times, listen for the gentle brush of the tap and the clarity with the quick rhythms as the piece progresses. The story behind the flowers was something Charlotte and her choreographer kept as a surprise until the very first performance. A tulip, a yellow rose, a peony. Each flower represents a woman in Charlotte’s life who has been part of her dance journey. Impactful women who have supported, encouraged and helped shape her along the way.
