Slow Living Diaries: 24 Hours in Orange County | Golden Sunset, S’mores & A Coastal Escape

Welcome and come sit with me in my little corner. 🤍 This weekend, my family and I took a little 24-hour getaway to Orange County. We started our day exploring Newport Beach Pier while waiting for our hotel check-in, wandering around the coast until we worked up an appetite for some pizza. From Newport Beach, we made our way down to Dana Point and checked into the beautiful Waldorf Astoria. After a much-needed afternoon nap, we headed back out to the beach where the kids played in the water and we slowed down for the afternoon. We stayed until sunset, had dinner at the hotel, and ended the night with s’mores back in our room. The next morning, we squeezed in one last swim before heading home, with one more pizza stop along the way. 🍕🌊 A simple little family getaway filled with sunshine, ocean air, golden sunsets, sleepy afternoons, good food, and the kind of little moments I want to remember.
