Arleta: LAFD Conducts Full River Rescue Operation Amid Heavy Storms.

LAFD Valley Bureau units and Swift Water Rescue teams were dispatched to the Pacoima Wash near Osborne Street in Arleta at approximately 1:27 a.m. Tuesday for a full river rescue. Ground crews and air assets located an adult male stuck under a bridge as rain intensified across the region. While the patient was found to be in no immediate danger of being swept away, he was suffering from a non-life-threatening medical complaint and was unable to self-extricate. Firefighters successfully assisted the man over a security fence and provided a medical assessment before transporting him to a local hospital.
