You Held the Chalk

Before the world knew our names, a teacher called them every morning. ❤️ 🎶 YOU HELD THE CHALK is an Afro-soul/Afrobeat tribute to the teachers who believed in us before we believed in ourselves—and a call to protect their lives, dignity and safety. “You held the chalk, chalk, chalk— Now we hold you up.” Behind every classroom door is someone helping a generation find its way. Every teacher deserves respect, a voice and a workplace free from violence. Let us address grievances peacefully, uphold justice and stand beside those who helped us rise. 💬 Which teacher made a difference in your life? Honour them in the comments. 📲 Share this song with a teacher and tell them: “Your work mattered. I stand with you.” 👍 Like, subscribe and help this message reach more people. Protect the teacher.
