A massive political earthquake has hit West Bengal politics as the Election Commission froze the original Trinamool Congress name and symbol. The poll body allotted the name 'Mamata All India Trinamool Congress' and the 'Football Player' symbol to Mamata Banerjee's faction, while Ritabrata Banerjee's faction was designated as 'Democratic Trinamool Congress' with the 'Envelope' symbol.
