शतरुद्र संहिता के अध्याय 8 में भगवान शिव के भैरव अवतार (काल-भैरव) की उत्पत्ति और उनकी महिमा का वर्णन किया गया है। इस प्रसंग के माध्यम से यह संदेश दिया गया है कि अहंकार का नाश निश्चित है और शिव ही इस संपूर्ण ब्रह्मांड के परम सत्य व नियंत्रक हैं। Chapter 8 of the Shatarudra Samhita describes the origin and glory of Lord Shiva’s Bhairava incarnation (Kala-Bhairava). Through this narrative, the message is conveyed that the destruction of ego is inevitable and that Shiva is the ultimate truth and the controller of this entire universe.
