Antioch Baptist Church Morning Service October 25th, 2026 FACE TO FACE ENCOUNTERS WITH JESUS Paul: "When Jesus Changes Everything" Acts 9:1-19 Speaker - Al Haywood CCLI Copyright License #2932675 CCLI Streaming License #20210792 1. CONFRONTED BY HIS PRESENCE Acts 9:3-5 "As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, 'Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?'" Paul's encounter begins with confrontation. Notice the question: "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" You can be extremely religious and still be running from Jesus. 2. CHANGED BY HIS POWER Acts 9:6-9 The man who thought he could see spiritually became physically blind. Trusted before. Grace doesn't simply make us better. Grace makes us new. 3. COMMISSIONED FOR HIS PURPOSE Acts 9:15-16 "My chosen instrument." God redeemed his past and gave it new meaning. Your past is not greater than God's grace. THE DAMASCUS ROAD QUESTION Perhaps the greatest question Paul ever asked was found in Acts 9:6 - "Lord, what do you want me to do?" That's the question of a surrendered life.
