Read the story to this song! (Credits below) Hello, my name is Max Buskohl. Im currently on a young journey from depression, alcoholism, and mental turmoil to a path of healing, self-discovery, and creative expression. On October 4th, I voluntarily entered a day clinic, driven by the shadows of depression and a whirlwind of inner voices telling me I wasn’t worthy of therapy. A week earlier, I had, like usual, given in to intoxication and self-destruction, to a point that I started agreeing with those voices that perhaps, I was merely a waste of space. My emotions went from sadness to anger until they gave in to numbness, turning my mind into a frightening place. In this moment of despair, a spark of hope emerged, seemingly from nowhere, propelling me through intoxication and insomnia-ridden consciousness. It lead me to the clinic. This ray of hope, i like to think, was me believing, for a second, that I do deserve better—for my daughter, for my family, for my friends, and for myself. Finally my mind was open to internal reflection and external connections. The clinic was a neutral ground, where I got to finally say hi to my demons, learn to understand them and to accept them for what they are. A month into my therapy I had the immense urge to sing at a certain jam session - i never did jam sessions and on top of that- the talent at this specific jam session has always been mind bogglingly high. But I went and i sang a spontaneous creation - that I scribbled on the back of a government letter- for the lack of having anything else to write on- on my way there. By the end of the song- everyone was singing along- as if it had always existed. Transforming into a collective anthem. It left me with a transcendent, outer-body experience. I was shaking and my eyes teared up with joy and sadness. I know it sounds cheesy- but it’s exactly how i experienced it. “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional” Get Help Now https://www.helpguide.org/ Credits- Titel: Tonight (I Wanna Feel Alright) Vocals- Max Buskohl Bass - Arne Imig Guitar 1 - Luca Ortmann Guitar 2 - Sugbear Keys - Martina Sherstnova Drums - Philip Schilz Saxophone 1 - Benni Liwschitz Saxophone 2 - Paul Andrew Hofer-Bottomley Trombone - Wesley Rubim Music by Max Buskohl, Arne Imig, Philip Schilz, Marina Sherstnova, Vincent Sugbear, Luca Ortmann, Benni Liwschitz, Paul Andrew Hofer-Bottomley, Wesley Rubim Lyrics by Max Buskohl Produced by Leonard Vaessen / Max Buskohl Engineered by Fabricius Clavée Mixed by Leonard Vaessen Mixed @ WakeNBake Studio Recorded @ Tritonus Studio Berlin (c) Blue Lion Records
