The system is currently located around 200 km southeast of Gopalpur and Puri, moving at around 18 kmph. It may cross the coast between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur between tonight and the early hours of September 24. Winds may reach 65–75 kmph near landfall. Heavy rainfall is likely across several parts of Odisha, particularly southern Odisha, on September 23 and 24.
