Reading "Peddlers of Hate" pushes me to ask how prejudice becomes political power—and why its methods can remain familiar across generations. The comparison I see between the 1920s KKK and today’s MAGA movement lies in appeals to a supposedly greater past, suspicion of outsiders, and claims that only certain people represent the “real” nation. These movements are not identical, but their differences should not prevent us from examining those echoes. When belonging depends on whom we exclude, patriotism becomes a weapon against our neighbors. We must question who benefits from that division, challenge dehumanizing rhetoric, and defend the dignity of people being targeted. History demands more from us than recognition; it demands the courage to act. You know what to do: Vote against hate on November 3, 2026. Stand up for human dignity, protect our neighbors, and defend democracy. Make your ballot count! LINK: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/... https://www.ijpr.org/show/the-jeffers...
