Nearly two years after it was first unveiled, the Polestar 3 electric coupe-SUV has finally reached production - aiming to combine high-street style with Swedish minimalism and dynamic panache.
Currently only available in Long Range Dual Motor form - meaning AWD with at least 360kW and 840Nm - the Polestar 3 range will expand in 2025 with a Single Motor Rear Drive entry model. But it's the powerful, muscular, sophisticated Dual Motor variants that position the Polestar 3 best, demonstrating the premium ambitions of the brand. With adaptive air suspension and an impressive dual-clutch, mechanically torque vectoring rear diff, the Polestar 3 certainly has the right hardware.
For its first challenging test on Australian soil, we sent former Deputy Editor Nathan Ponchard to Tasmania to see if the Polestar 3 really is deserving of a Chasing Cars two-thumbs-up for its promised dynamic talent.
