Hot Brakes | Istanbul Was CHAOS! | Turkish A350 to Bucharest | VATSIM MSFS 2024

What should have been a straightforward short hop from Istanbul to Bucharest turned into one of the most chaotic VATSIM flights I’ve had in a while! 😅 Flying the iniBuilds Airbus A350-900 in Turkish Airlines colours from Istanbul Airport (LTFM) to Bucharest Henri Coandă (LROP) in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Istanbul was absolutely packed. It took almost an hour just to get airborne. Then the problems started… My internet connection repeatedly dropped during the flight, disconnecting me from VATSIM without me immediately realising it. That made the already-busy taxi out of Istanbul interesting — traffic would disappear and then suddenly reappear around me. Once airborne, the connection problems meant I spent a significant part of the flight stuck at 11,000 ft, waiting for ATC clearance that I couldn’t receive before eventually continuing towards FL240 and FL320. Arrival into Bucharest wasn’t much easier. The landing runway changed from 08R to 08L, but the A350 FMS wasn’t particularly interested in accepting the change. Then, just as I was about to receive vectors for the approach… VATSIM disconnected again. With ATC gone, I followed the FMS towards DILAS, continued visually for Runway 08L and somehow finished the chaos with a smooth landing in Bucharest.
