🍁 Take a 30-minute Japanese Walk through Kyoto this fall.
Japanese Walking (interval walking) is simple: walk slowly for 3 minutes, then walk briskly for 3 minutes, and repeat 5 times. This video does the timing for you — just follow the music. The tempo changes and a soft bell rings every 3 minutes, so you never need to check the clock.
🚶 How to follow along
• SLOW (~95 BPM): relaxed pace, easy breathing
• FAST (~127 BPM): brisk pace — you can talk, but not sing
• Works outdoors, at home, or on a treadmill
• Low impact and knee-friendly — great for beginners and seniors

🍁 Inspired by the Philosopher's Path
This illustration is inspired by Kyoto's Philosopher's Path, a quiet stone path along a small canal. It got its name from a philosopher who walked it every day — and in late fall, the maple trees along the water turn bright red and gold.
