Trucks on the A9 - Scotland's most dangerous road

Lorries on the A9 at Calvine, near Pitlochry, Perthshire. The A9 is one of the UK's most notorious and deadly roads and it is currently in the process of being dualled. As if to prove the point, at 06:30 an Iveco had caught fire at Dunkeld and the road was closed in both directions for the entire day, so the amount/variety of trucks we filmed further north was probably less than it would usually be. We had wanted to visit this location on the A9 for a long time as it is one of the only spots without bollards or snow poles blocking the view for filming, although unfortunately the sun is on the wrong side and on the day of filming the overcast forecast was inaccurate... Volvo, Scania, DAF, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and MAN vehicles feature, ranging from examples operated by well known fleets to highly customised trucks.
