They Tried Everything to Kill Him… But He Wouldn’t Die | Michael Malloy True Story

Michael Malloy was supposed to be an easy target. In 1933 New York, a group of men became involved in a plot to kill Malloy and collect money through life insurance. What followed was a bizarre series of failed attempts involving poisoned alcohol, poisoned food, exposure to freezing conditions and a staged taxi attack. Malloy became known as “Iron Mike” or “Mike the Durable” because of the extraordinary number of times he survived attempts on his life. But eventually, the conspirators killed him using carbon monoxide from illuminating gas and tried to make his death appear natural. The suspicious death eventually led to an investigation, exhumation and the exposure of the insurance-murder scheme. This is the real story of Michael Malloy—one of the strangest true crime cases of 1930s New York. 💀 🎬 FOOTAGE & MUSIC CREDITS Some visual assets used in this documentary are sourced from Pexels and Pixabay under their respective licenses.
