God Bless. Welcome to Coosa Methodist Church! Founded in 1834 as part of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Coosa later became part of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. In1939, a denominational union made us part of The Methodist Church. In 1968 we became Coosa United Methodist Church. On June 30, 2022, we became Coosa Methodist Church, an independent Methodist Church 3 Reasons You Need a Church Home 1. Because it is the Body of Christ. Church is God’s idea to bring the Family of God together as believers in Jesus Christ. Together we are Christ’s living body in this world. 2. Because this world is not our home. This world is only a temporary place in God’s eternal plan for us, and we need a place to belong while we’re here. This earth can be a tough place to live, and while we look forward to an eternal home with God, our church is the most important home we can have now. 3. Because we need each other. No one can make it on their own, and God provides us with brothers & sisters in Christ to help and encourage us on our journey together. Where two or more gather in Jesus’ name, He promises to be here with us. Ask God if He is leading you to become a member of Coosa.
