The Rock Raceway came alive on 7–8 August as an action-packed Speed Weekend delivered two days of high-speed motorsport, roaring engines and plenty of adrenaline. The highlight of the weekend was Round 3 of the National Hotrod Championship, bringing top-level competition and serious racing excitement to the circuit. The winter cold certainly tried to put a damper on proceedings, but it was no match for the passion of South African motorsport fans. Spectators packed the pavilion, with the atmosphere building throughout the weekend as fans eagerly watched the battles unfold on track. From the opening laps to the final chequered flag, competitors showed determination, skill and plenty of racing spirit. The National Hotrods provided some spectacular action, while the supporting classes added even more excitement to an already busy weekend. With engines screaming, tires fighting for grip and drivers pushing hard for every position, the adrenaline was high from start to finish. Every race brought its own story, with close battles and plenty of moments that had the crowd firmly on the edge of their seats. The Rock Raceway once again proved why it remains such an important part of South Africa’s motorsport scene. Cold temperatures may have filled the air, but the racing action kept the heat turned up!
