The Post-Install Steps Nobody Shows You (Proxmox)

Most "post-install" Proxmox videos are the same video: open the shell, paste the community helper script, disable the subscription nag, done. This one skips that part and does the stuff that actually matters after you install Proxmox on a single box. Storage reasoned against real hardware, a network segmented on one NIC, and a hardening pass done before the first VM exists instead of after. I wiped the same mini PC from the LXC vs VM video and rebuilt it clean on Proxmox VE 9.2: ZFS or LVM-thin, decided against actual RAM and disk numbers instead of "just use ZFS." A VLAN-aware bridge that splits management, general VMs, and untrusted containers over one physical port. SSH, container, and backup hardening done as build steps, not a checklist you run after the box is already exposed. And the one thing in 9.2 that's genuinely worth doing on a single node — it's not on the headline feature list, and I'll tell you why almost everything else in that list doesn't apply to you.
