From the scenic winelands to ultimately ending our day at Charlesford farm, at the foot of the Phantom pass in Knysna. Our first part takes us from the scenic winelands to the quaint village of Suurbraak. On the way, we pass over the historic Du Toitskloof Pass, a testament to the ingenuity and determination of its builders. ✨ Highlights of the Journey ✨ Du Toitskloof Pass: More than just a road, A testament to engineering ingenuity, over 100 years in the making, this pass played a crucial role in the economic development of the Western Cape. Enjoy breathtaking views of vineyards, orchards, and rugged mountain peaks. Breathtaking Views : Vineyards, orchards, and rugged mountain peaks. 🍇🍏 Worcester: Descend into the expansive Breede River Valley, known for its wine and fruit production, and soak in the majestic morning views. Robertson & Passes: Navigate the Goreeshoogte and Bakoondhoogte passes, which is a motorcyclists delight, rewarded with expansive views and history as we the historic Rheenendal Water Mill. Swellendam Bypass: Bypass the historic town of Swellendam and turn onto the R322 towards Suurbraak. Suurbraak Arrival: A village originally a mission station. Suurbraak, meaning "Sour Brake" from the sour ferns in the region, is known by its indigenous name, !Xairu, meaning "Place of Paradise."
