Installing Door Latches in Our Food Trailer — Simple DIY Upgrade

We’re making another DIY upgrade to our food trailer, and this time we’re installing new door latches to keep the doors secure and make them easier to use during events. In this video, I walk through how I installed the door latches inside our My Evil Sweets concession trailer, including how I mounted the hardware, worked around the existing aluminum framing, and came up with a simple solution that works for our trailer. One thing we’ve learned while building and upgrading a food trailer is that there are always little things you don’t think about until you actually start using it. Door hardware might seem like a small detail, but when you’re working inside a busy concession trailer, having doors that stay where you want them makes a big difference. Our My Evil Sweets food trailer is being prepared for fairs, festivals, and larger events where we’ll be serving our Dessert Nachos.
