Mandelieu-la-Napoule is a jewel of the French Riviera, a cozy town with a castle and picturesque golf courses, with almost no tourists. The main attraction and the most impressive landmark of Mandelieu-la-Napoule is the Château de la Napoule, located on the seashore. Although a small part of the castle, the Saracen Tower, dates back to the 11th century, most of the building you can see today is a 20th-century reconstruction of a 14th-century castle that was destroyed during the Revolution. The work was carried out by Henry Clews, an artist who owned the castle, and whose artworks can still be seen inside. Grand Duke Michael (1861-1929) created a Scottish St Andrews-style golf course here. This is how the first golf course on the French Riviera was born, and today golf lovers from all over the world come here. Enjoy a pleasant walk through this quiet and picturesque town in the South of France. Filmed in September #frenchriviera #virtualwalk #southoffrance
