Samurai Warriors 5 - Nobunaga's Path | Battle of Shigisan Castle (Part 40)

Halfway expecting them to call this Shigisanjo Castle at this point. Anyways, this is the stage where Matsunaga rebels. There was supposed to be at least one other rebellion he did, hell his IN-GAME biography mentions him rebelling twice, but I guess we just skip that one because we're in the last two chapters of the game and this is where shit starts getting rushed. We don't even get a real reason why Matsunaga's rebelling, Mitsuhide just says "his ideals don't match Nobunaga's" and to keep an eye on him. Then the very next scene is like "Yep, Hisahide rebelled, good call, Mitsuhide." and they just keep praising him like he did something to actually contribute. It's such a forced and awkward way to make Mitsuhide look good, and it's even worse in Mitsuhide's Path itself. The game also bitches out on us at the end of this stage, not even showing Matsunaga blow himself up in the cutscene. In fact, we're not even seeing the whole cutscene. We DO get to see the explosion when we play the stage again in Mitsuhide's Path, but it also shows Sandayu looking on in the distance like "Heh, all according to keikaku." and they go out of their way to hide anything Sandayu does from Nobunaga's Path, even though Nobunaga REFERENCES the things he was behind when they fight at Honnoji, so to the player, he's just talking about a bunch of crap we didn't even get to see. And, since we already saw Sandayu clearly show he was up to shit in Mitsuhide's Path, hiding that kind of stuff from us doesn't even come as a surprise when he turns on us. sigh ...Anyways, Kanbei suddenly joins out of nowhere, so I played as him here. He uses the Talisman moveset which is shared with Oichi, so I don't really have anything to add to that. Kanbei looks more like a younger Jia Chong than anything in this. Also, Kanbei very clearly calls Hanbei his senpai, but the translator decided that term was "too Japanese" I guess and either ignores it outright or has Kanbei call him something else, despite it being one of the more well-known terms from Japan. The same translator also thinks it's okay to leave things like "kagemusha" untranslated, which is a much, much less common term. This translator seriously needs to get canned before the next game comes out.
