Philips PM-3655 - Part 1

Workshop Project #58 - Philips PM-3655 Logic Analyzer As you might have noticed before, I have a special heart for logic troubleshooting gear. From the old logic testers to logic analyzers. While I love every piece of old equipment that I work on, hardly any piece of lab equipment has fascinated me as much as this category. There are so many different helpful ideas implemented in different takes on the matter. So it is no wonder, that I had to get this one when I saw it. The device seems to be from the later helf of the 1980s. I can't quite get a proper date anywhere, but the newest chips in my unit have an 88 date code. It features an expandable analyzer portion that can handle up to four cards with 24 channels each; that makes up to 96 channels at a maximum of 100MHz. Let's see how the unit looked when I got it! Post-publish note: I think the caps in the beefy PSU are upside down because it might have originally been a +5V supply that got "hacked" into providing -5V by flipping the rectifier diodes and sense wiring...
