I Turned a Basement Problem into a Soot Sprite Nest

What started as a cold, drafty gap in our basement turned into a small, whimsical project inspired by the cozy nostalgia of soot sprites from Studio Ghibli films. Instead of fixing the problem the usual way, I decided to turn it into a little bit of magic creating a soot sprite style nest using yarn pom-poms, wire, EVA foam, and insulation foam to block the draft and add some charm to an often-overlooked space. This is a quiet, cozy build meant to be enjoyed at a slower pace.
