“My body, my choice” എന്ന നിലപാടിനെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ട്? Have women changed or do society’s expectations of women need to change? 🤔 In this video, I react to actress Priyanka Anoop’s comments during a 24 News discussion hosted by Sreekandan Nair about changing attitudes among women and younger generations. Do wives really only ask their husbands about groceries instead of asking how their day went? I question this stereotype and discuss women’s financial independence, shared household responsibilities, and why care and consideration should go both ways in a relationship. I also challenge the idea that women must dress “decently” to prevent men from staring or behaving inappropriately. Why should women’s clothing be held responsible for someone else’s behaviour? The discussion also touches on motherhood, childbirth, and “my body, my choice.” Does one woman’s experience of motherhood mean every woman must make the same choice or endure the same pain? Should having children be a personal decision or a social obligation? And when it comes to smoking, why apply different standards to women and men? If men in previous generations smoked, does that somehow justify boys smoking today? This is a question about double standards, not an endorsement of smoking. This reaction examines social expectations, women’s autonomy, mutual respect in relationships, and the generalizations used to judge today’s young women. The focus is on challenging the arguments, not personally attacking the speaker. What do you think? Share your perspective respectfully in the comments. 👇 #PriyankaAnoop #MalayalamReaction #24News #SreekandanNair #GenderEquality #WomensRights #MyBodyMyChoice #DoubleStandards #MalayalamCommentary
