Accademia Aperta (Open Academy) 2026 | Brera Academy of Fine Arts | Milan | Artpatico Join Artpatico for a journey through 'Accademia Aperta 2026', one of Milan's most anticipated contemporary art events, held from 24 July to 7 August 2026 at the historic Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Via Brera 28, Milan). This special edition celebrates the Academy's 250th anniversary, opening its studios and classrooms to the public. During 'Accademia Aperta' (Open Academy), the Academy's historic spaces become vibrant exhibition venues where visitors can experience the creativity of emerging artists and meet students who personally present their work. The event showcases projects from the Schools of Painting, Sculpture, Decoration, Printmaking, Stage Design, Restoration, New Technologies for the Arts, Art Education, and Communication & Enhancement of Contemporary Artistic Heritage. This edition also features two major exhibitions: 'Feeling of Things (Sentimento delle cose)', curated by renowned artist and professor Gianni Caravaggio, brings together works by artists who studied at Brera. The exhibition invites visitors to slow down and explore sculpture through materiality, perception, and the quiet mystery of everyday objects. 'Users, Unfriendly', curated by Domenico Quaranta, is presented in the nearby former Church of San Carpoforo.
