Explained: Birmingham Alabama #CRIME

Is this city really as bad as crime reports put it? How does it REALLY compare to other cities in the South like Louisville or Jacksonville? To me, its really not much worst than those cities, its just that the CITY LIMITS only cover the WORST PARTS leaving little to balance the bad parts with the good ones for the metro area.
