1996 Hoover Preferred U4655-930

Hi everyone. I finally got a chance to make new vacuum videos for the new year. Especially the ones I got for Christmas. And this is one of them. This is my 31st Elite style upright. And also my first Preferred upright. I've always wanted a Preferred upright especially for my collection of Elites. They had the soft bag and hard bag models. Luckily I got both. I got this from eBay along with the Preferred hard bag and a Decade Soft & Light. It arrived the day after I got the other 2. When I got this, it needed a good TLC. I gave it a good spa treatment in my bathtub. And put in a new HEPA bag which is a Riccar/Simplicity. A new LED lightbulb, a new CWP brushroll, and like all of my Elites, a NOS 20 bladed fan. Unfortunately when I got this vacuum, it was missing the height adjustment spring so I found one off from eBay and the bottom base clips to secure the rug plate broke off from the previous owner whoever used it last and managed to replace it with another one I got from eBay too. The dusting brush was worn so I replaced it with a horse hair brush. It only came with the original hose, wand, and upholstery nozzle. I added a crevice tool I had laying around. I do like the fact that this model uses a cloth outer bag along with a stretch hose it's quite nice. The bearings could use some grease but runs well. Made in March 1996. Enjoy.
