The third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to kick off on the 26th of October (Kartik 9). Even amidst the festive rush, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is finalizing ground infrastructure construction, pitch improvements, and fan-friendly management to ensure a grand and well-organized tournament. Addressing the drawbacks observed in previous years, comprehensive upgrades have been made this time, extending from the playing field to the outer facilities. Prioritizing spectator convenience, 560 new seats have been added, pushing the total stadium capacity to between 13,500 and 15,000. To ensure smoother traffic and pedestrian flow outside the stadium, the road from Gate No. 2 to Siddhartha has been paved and repaired to render it dust-free, alongside dedicated parking zones for vehicles. State-of-the-art modern dining halls, media centers, and lounges have been set up separately for players, coaches, media personnel, and ICC representatives. An international-standard modern sight screen has been installed on the field, while curators have worked extensively to make the pitches more competitive and well-maintained. According to Roshan Singh, Vice President of CAN and Convener of the Monitoring Committee, dedicated VIP enclosures have been arranged this time for officials from district and provincial cricket associations, sponsors, and team owners. He highlighted that strict tender procedures were followed to maintain financial transparency for this edition, with the tournament's overall budget and business scale reaching a record high of NPR 33 crore (330 million). A ticketing agreement has been signed with eSewa, and ticket prices will be fixed keeping in mind accessibility for students and the general public. CAN also stated that all legal procedures regarding the use of the highly anticipated Decision Review System (DRS) have been completed, with an official announcement expected within the next two to three days. Rapidly becoming a center of attraction nationally and internationally, this third edition of the NPL is expected to elevate the prestige of Nepali cricket to new heights.
