In this video, I will install a Tongsheng TSDZ2B DIY eBike motor kit on a KHS Movo 1.0 step-through bicycle with the Open Source Firmware update 20.5.2.2 (OSF).
Tools that I needed for the job are as follows:
2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8mm allen wrenches
15mm open end
Large adjustable crescent wrench
Crank Extractor (square taper)
Bottom Bracket Removal Tool (bbt-22)
Bicycle Grease
Loctite Number 243 (mounting bolts and lockring)
Torque Wrench with 4mm - 8mm allen wrench bits
Cable zip ties
Hammer & Punch
Cable Cutter
Scissors
Hack Saw (cutting off cable guides)
Tongsheng Lockring Spanner (included with kit)
Safety glasses and some shop towels
This is not a difficult job, but it does take a few tools a bit of time to complete. I have done this exact same job dozens of times before and it takes me just about 2 hours each time.
