A nice thing to do in the afternoon: cut a 2.5-gallon water jug in half lengthwise. Fill with 1-2 inches of water and a few splashes of vinegar or lemon juice. Soak feet. Pass around for campmates to enjoy. After you soak your feet, slather them with a heavy-duty foot balm, let air dry, then slip into nice fresh socks. To keep long hair from turning into Funyuns, comb through leave-in conditioner and braid immediately. Keep hair under a hat or bandana. Rub foot repair cream into your hands once a day to keep them moisturized.
