Roland TR 505 : Screen Repair/ Dark LCD / improve visibility / TR 505 Mod

Fix an LCD screen with a dark spot easily on the Roland TR 505. At the beginning of the video, before the repair, the screen was dark and barely legible, but at the end, after the repair, it looks like new. When you unscrew the screen and disconnect the cable that powers the screen, you will see that the screen is attached to the PCB via two elastomeric connectors that two rubber on the sides between the PCB and the LCD. The LCD looks like a transparent piece of plastic but in the transparent screen there is also a PCB and connections but they are small and visible under a microscope. On the other hand, the connections on the PCB board are huge, so I advise you to leave the two elastomeric connectors glued to the LCD screen when you peel the screen off the PCB board.
