Is Not Quite Dead actually worth playing?
I just started my journey in Not Quite Dead, working through the initial tutorial and getting a feel for the core loop. This first session focuses on getting settled, seeing how the game handles, and determining if the initial promise holds up over time. While I am still figuring out the technical side of things, the core experience is clear enough to start evaluating.
During this run, I spent time on open world exploration to see how the map feels and how much freedom is actually offered. I also started experimenting with inventory management to see how cumbersome or intuitive the system is when looting items. Additionally, testing the game equipment systems was a priority to understand how character progression works early on. Even without the audio, the mechanics are intriguing enough to keep me curious about what comes next.

Can Not Quite Dead gameplay actually hold my attention even when the audio cuts out? Let's find out.
I decided to jump into this title for the first time to see if the core mechanics are as engaging as they seem. This session covers the initial tutorial walkthrough, providing a look at how the game introduces its systems before letting you loose. While I hit a snag with the sound settings, the visual feedback and movement felt solid enough to keep me invested in the experience.
After finishing the intro, I moved on to map exploration to see what kind of freedom players actually have. It is rare to find a game that feels promising right out of the gate, so I wanted to see if the early hype was justified. These first impressions are meant to help you decide if this is worth your time, regardless of the current technical hurdles I faced.
