Acrylic Glazing Technique for Junk Journal Covers

BONUS FOR STEAMPUNK COURSE STUDENTS: I’ve included this tutorial because the specific sponge and glazing technique I used on our Steampunk journal cover is the same technique I used here. While the journal in this video has a different theme, the technique for building up those beautiful, weathered layers of color is exactly the same! I am using the simple faux “rag technique” with common acrylic paint and Golden brand acrylic glaze medium to transform recycled book covers into spectacular junk journal covers.
