RML Peak Performer Series: Todd Menzies

Todd Menzies has spent more than 15 years helping build the live music scene in Golden, BC and beyond. A former touring musician turned artist manager, promoter, and live music producer, Menzies founded Menzies Music Productions in 2011 with a focus on supporting independent artists and bringing live music to communities throughout Western Canada. His career has taken him from Golden to Vancouver and back again. In 2013, Menzies Music partnered with Golden Delicious Productions to launch the Golden Sound Festival, while Todd later spent six years working with Vancouver concert promoter Timbre Concerts. During that time, he worked on major events including Pemberton Music Festival, Levitation Vancouver, and the TD International Jazz Festival. After returning to Golden, Todd partnered with Pursuit in 2021 to launch the Golden Skybridge Summer Concert Series. The series has since become a summer fixture in Golden, bringing local and touring artists to an outdoor stage surrounded by the Canadian Rockies. Rocky Mountain Live caught up with Todd following the finale of the 2026 Golden Skybridge Summer Concert Series on September 5, featuring Lazy Syrup Orchestra and Fort Knox Five. We talk about the evolution of the concert series, building opportunities for live music in a mountain community, Todd's journey through the Canadian music industry, and what's ahead for Menzies Music.
